W.D. Gaster in Krita

Here is my concept sketch for UnderTale’s favourite mystery man, W.D. Gaster. Before the fateful incident.

I am most trying to create unique design. The regular fandom interpation as a tall, creepy skeleton gentleman is great, but I blended him a little and created some sort of ghost-skeleton hybrid monster. He was called Wing Ding Aster, Gaster was his nickname originated from his gastly appearance.

He didn't have the usual white, boney hands with a hole, he had a second face on his torso.

Similair to Napstablook. Gaster could stay afloat. The nature of the incident was not him simply ‘fell’ in to his creation.

Gaster had an uniquely well-develope SOUL which have enough magical energy to support two brains. Both brains worked in perfect harmony, it was impossible to dertermine which one was his primary brain. Both ‘face’ emoted exact expression and usually spook in synch. The keep switching between Wingding and Aster. There were several instance both face focused on different task, making him a very efficient at multi-tasking. However, he preferd to invest all of his attention on one focus at a time.

Gaster has solid, yet incomplete skeleton struture inside his ectoplasmic body.
